Win32s unofficial?
Win32s unofficial?
Just wondering if there's an unofficial list of Win32s applications or games out there? I've seen the official list but it's kind of small, I'm hoping it's larger than what it is
Re: Win32s unofficial?
Yes, that's the list I was referring to. It appears to be an official list. I know only of 2 unlisted applications that I ran across: Adobe Acrobat 3.0 and WinImage 4.0. I was hoping to come across more applications but maybe that's all there is.

Re: Win32s unofficial?
Just off the top of my head:
Adobe Acrobat 3 (not reader)
Photoshop 3.x, 4
ClarisDraw 1.x
FreeHand 5.0
ClarisWorks 3.0
Vistapro 3 for Windows
CircuitMaker Win32s
FrameMaker 5.0
Westwood Monopoly 1.0
ArcView GIS 3.0
The Print Shop Ensemble III
Mathcad 5.0
I think that w32slist site was mainly for things that weren't really intended to run under Win32s. Most Win32s applications sold were just labeled as "For Windows 3.1", or sometimes "3.1 and NT", and most users didn't even notice it was Win32s.
Also, somewhere there was a modified copy of Win32s that increased compatiblity with later Win32 just a tiny hair - apparently got a couple of additional programs not designed for it to run.

Re: Win32s unofficial?
Not sure what makes you think it's "official"... It's not hosted by Microsoft, not written in their style, includes information about clearly not-officially-supported configurations of third party applications, provides a download link for a custom modified Microsoft DLL...mijk wrote:Yes, that's the list I was referring to. Early versions of irfanview run on it too.

Well this is a good start. I was hoping for more love for Windows 3.1.
