Windows 98 Build 1546 Spanish

Post by DiskingRound »

I found a screenshot of Windows 98 build 1546 in a Spanish computer magazine. As you can see, the text is in Spanish. I only know of 2 language versions of 1546; English and Simplified Chinese. Still a nice find though.

Quite interesting to see that the titlebar gradient looks like builds 1500 and earlier.1515 already has it changed. Anyway, neat find.

Thanks for letting me know about other language versions of Windows 98 build 1546! :)
So now I know of English, Simplified Chinese, German, Korean, and Spanish versions of Windows 98 build 1546.
Another article from that magazine series talks about Windows 98 Beta 3 build 1650 Spanish. I decided to post this first though because before I posted this we only knew of a few language versions of Windows 98 build 1546, plus we have an "International" version on the FTP.
The magazine also talks about a few more Memphis builds, unfortunately, they're not new. The builds are 1411, 1511 and 1525, all in English. But still it's nice to see them in computer magazines from that time period. It also occasionally talks about the Nashville/IE4 shell in the articles.
It also talks about Windows 98 SE RC1 and Windows 2000 Beta 3, but it doesn't mention any build numbers.
Lastly I have the article from the mag of OS/2 Warp 4.0 Final. I don't know if you all would be interested in that.
If you want scans of any of the above articles, they are yours. :)

Well, I for one would certainly be interested in seeing them, so I would greatly appreciate it if you could upload them here. :)

Thanks SoftPCMuseum for the reply! :) Unfortunately, it'll be a pain to upload every single one of them in one post, so I'll start with a long article about Memphis build 1411. The article also talks about IE4 and Win95 OSR2.

Since many of you don't speak Spanish, you probably won't make a whole lot from the text. However the screenshots are very nice quality. I've shrunken the scans down though because the image uploader would barf on the full resolution scans.

[BUMP]
Here's the article about Memphis build 1511.
The article also shows a Memphis beta site called "MSMemphis". If you can tell me anything else about this site that would be very helpful. ;)
The screenshots are below.

Next stop: Memphis build 1525 aka Beta 1.
And I also found articles about OS/2 Warp 3.0 and Windows 95. I couldn't find anything related to Win95 betas/Chicago builds but I did find a few "tip and trick" articles for Windows 3.1. Here's the list of what I found so far:
-Windows 3.1 tips and tricks
-Windows 95
-OS/2 Warp 3.0
-OS/2 Warp 4.0
-Memphis build 1411
-Memphis build 1511
-Memphis build 1525
-Windows 98 build 1546 (ES)
-Windows 98 build 1650 (ES)
-Windows 98 SE RC1
-Windows 2000 Beta 3
Here's a small teaser:

Here is the article about Memphis build 1525. It is now referred to as Beta 1 and I know it's 1525 because of a screenshot in page 6.

I had to shrink down the scans as the full resolution scans are too large for the image uploader, so if you can make anything from this that you would be interested in, just ask. ;)
That's it for now, maybe I'll gradually post some articles I recently found about Chicago/Windows 95 beta builds (maybe on this thread or another one), but none of them mention exact build numbers unfortunately. Next time though also expect the full article about Windows 98 build 1546 Spanish.

As promised, here is the article about Windows 98 build 1546. I omitted one page that didn't seem too interesting, but here's the rest:

That's it for now. I posted the Chicago scans in one separate topic:

Maybe I will post the Windows 98 build 1650, Windows 98 SE RC1, Windows 2000 beta 3 and OS/2 Warp screenshots in this topic, that topic or in another separate topic but I don't think they're anything new. I also can post some of the Windows 3.1 tips and trick scans, however I doubt they'll be interesting.
