Windows 2000 Professional Select

W2PSEL_EN, that should be the cd label from "Windows 2000 Professional Select", but what is special on this version? timebomb or what?

thanks

No, no timebomb, but instead you can install it without entering a key. If it asks for one, you can modify setupp.ini to deactivate the check.

I have some of these here too, among them a Server Select edition (labelled W2SSEL_EN) which does not require a key to be entered.

thanks for the info, I never heard about this
"Theory is when you know something, but it doesn't work. Practice is when something works, but you don't know why. Programmers combine theory and practice: Nothing works and they don't know why."

Well, our school bought a VL for 1000 PCs/Laptops of XP and now we have a KMS for Vista...

if that counts as 250+ licenses, I bet that many companies did that.
