[OFFER] Windows 98 SE beta build 2126
You may have noticed a screenshot of this build on the wiki. Well I've decided to share this build with you.
As with the recently leaked Windows 95 build 405, I found this one on a warez disc as well. Same condition as 405, meaning not perfect but usable and certainly better than nothing.
Download here.

It appears we're currently in a "Memphis Mania" stage.

I just found some crazybytes CD's on archive.org (some guy actually uploaded them)...... but I only found already leaked windows builds.
@Overdoze: Can you upload this to another place? MEGA suddenly stopped cooperating with my computer.

Re: [OFFER] Windows 98 SE beta build 2126
That looks very interesting. Is it added to the FTP Server yet?
Re: [OFFER] Windows 98 SE beta build 2126
I've already checked all the Crazybytes CDs, nothing new on them.
No, this is not on the FTP yet. I may upload it somewhere else if I find time to do it.

Where is that build suppose to be?LoneCrusader wrote:Yes.. Now if only someone can produce that 4.10.1397 build mentioned in the other thread..

Re: [OFFER] Windows 98 SE beta build 2126
There are loads of builds referenced somewhere, but there are only a few builds leaked.
1397 belongs to the former category, unfortunately. It's supposed to be the first Memphis build with the IE shell found in 1400-1415.
PS: These leaks are amazing! I've found a few more leak references:
Chicago Build 404
A 42x Chicago Build
98 SE Build 2162
Windows 2000 build 1996
And the list goes on.....
People can look through their stash of warez CD's to find more builds. I only have a whopping 0 of them, so I can't search for them.

It's referenced in the RELNOTES for the 1434 build you found. From a personal standpoint possibly the most interesting version now confirmed to exist.Overdoze wrote:Where is that build suppose to be?LoneCrusader wrote:Yes.. I believe that 1397 was the last build NOT to have the IE shell the way the statement was written but I'll have to go back and check.Courage wrote:There are loads of builds referenced somewhere, but there are only a few builds leaked.

I found some more "lists" of the contents of CrazyBytes CD's here. Crazy Bytes 09.txt claims to contain Detroit 4.03.1174... I haven't checked all of the lists yet, nor have I been able to find a place to get copies of these discs...

I didn't find 1434.
Also, 1174 on that CD is mislabeled 1154, I checked.

Oh, duh *facepalm* lolOverdoze wrote:I didn't find 1434.

Too bad about the mislabel...
I did check the RELNOTES about the IE4 shell. Looks like I was right, 1397 is the last to have the previous shell, and any build later than 1397 will have the IE4 shell.LoneCrusader wrote:I believe that 1397 was the last build NOT to have the IE shell the way the statement was written but I'll have to go back and check.Courage wrote:1397 belongs to the former category, unfortunately. The copy on BA is the same thing except it was cleaned from the warez NFOs

Re: [OFFER] Windows 98 SE beta build 2126
Whoops, I misread that statement as "Build 1397 or greater". Maybe some other builds may turn up in the future.
