I found this build on an old CD, i am having trouble uploading to the FTP (no such file or directory) so here's a download link:
Removed by me because sendspace contains malware, plus build is now on the FTP.
The BIOS date is 4/21/1997.
I tried installing it in VirtualBox but it only works in safe mode, here are screenshots:

2162 was a scene leak, if I remember correctly. We also had another 98 SE scene leak re-leaked recently (2131) .

Both 2126 and 2162 are unleaked scene leaks/interim builds. They were even leaked by the same warez group.

Yeah, wouldn't be surprised if that one was scene leaked as well. In fact, quite a few Memphis builds were. Sadly it's mostly folder dumps, but it's still better than nothing.

It's a very nice find! I will put it on the FTP this thursday/friday. I also have some surprises of my own, some other builds of various Windows builds that got uploaded anonymously.... will be a nice weekend for all collectors .

This build comes from a warez CD from 1997 (don't ask for it) and I put the Memphis files into an ISO.
This build is not cracked and is therefore timebombed.
Apparently betagide.rtf contains a reference to build 1397 and relnotes.rtf contains a reference to build 1421.

According to the guide, 1397 was probably the first appearance of the IE shell seen on 1400-1415. The first leaked build to reference it is 1400 (of course).

It's also in the beta guide of 1423. As for 1421, it is in the relnotes of 1423. So there are no new references in this build but apparently 1434 is a developer release.

Why be so protective over a Warez CD in the first place? Other things on it might be interesting, and, depending on what "collection/group" it comes from, might give us clues as to what to search for to find other builds...
