Hello! I am mntlmentos/Vivian. I made this account due to my obsession over cut and unused content in, well, everything. I really enjoy using older technology too. I'm hoping one day to get my hands on something. I do have something, but I don't entirely know if it WOULD count. I also haven't used a forum in a loonnnnggg time, so I need to figure that out. Sorry for this being kinda rambly!

Re: Social: New member introductions
Hi, I am 1ST1 from Germany, living next to Frankfurt.
Some years ago I already had an account here, wrote something, but "Account pruning: Accounts are deleted if they have 0 posts and you have not logged in within the last 30 days, even if you have FTP Access. Ensure you make at least one post to keep your account active indefinitely." is a very strange rule, I would underdstand "one year" or so, so propably I may loose this acount again later due to this rule. So, let's see...
I have a quite large collection of Olivetti machines, and also the Atari ST series (full range from 260ST to Falcon, incl. STacy & ST-Book), these two brands are my major interest. For the Olivettis I have build up a large collection of files too, like boot disks for the cp/m and ms-dos based video typewriter of the ETV series, data disks of various Olivetti typewriter formats, software, drivers, customer test diskettes, manuals and Olivetti branded MS-DOS disks and much more for Olivetti personal computers, etc. One of the biggest things in this files is a large collection of EISA CFG files and EISA setup tools from different brands, shared and put together with the collection of MrSlug and my friend at former eisa-pc.de The collection of files is still not complete, there are so many Olivetti PCs and machines where all those disks seems to have been lost... (in total with all MS-DOS games, scene demos, applications, etc) it currently is more than 1 TB on my file server)
I would nearly do anything to get hands again on one of those original DAT tapes I got in the mid 1995 in hands again where a full backup of the files of the Olivetti Frankfurt support BBS was stored...
I am also member in the vcfed.org forum, vogons, vetus (but rarely active there) and I am member of the german "Verein zur Erhaltung klassischer Computer .eV."on www.classic-computing.org (incl. forum).
Here is an (almost complete) list of my Olivetti machines, you might use Google translate service to understand: https://maschinen-aus-ivrea.blogspot.com/
And here are photos of some of my machines: https://forum.classic-computing.de/gall ... lbum-list/

Hi, I am vboxflareon and I like Windows beta OS' because they are cool to check out. Also I like checking out old versions of Windows. Except I can't get Early 95, 98, or ME beta's installed for some reason.

Re: Social: New member introductions
hey! I found this site today by chance, I am a big fan of obscure software and archival work in general. I enjoy the process of converting and transferring things to digital. I tend to pick up random/weird games and software at thrift stores so I have a bit of a collection of that kind of stuff. Looking forward to contributing!

Hello everyone. I'm glad to have discovered this forum dedicated to archiving software and games, including more obscure and beta versions. It's great to see a strong effort from the community to preserve such content. I'm happy to contribute to this community in the future, as well as browsing the archives by others. Thanks.

Re: Social: New member introductions
Greetings BetaArchive. I am enthusiastic preservationist. I have accumulated numerous steam games that over time have become delisted. I also have a vast collection of gams that never got digital release and wish to share them. The thread that got my attention was researching how steam depots work and figuring out how to dump depots using the depotkey.
I look forward to hopefully making a meaningful contribution!
