Windows Longhorn Enterprise 2008, interesting...
It seems you are using a beta wlm, a great idea to use with longhorn.

I heard about Longhorn Reloaded, but what is this "R3" thing? It's a continuation or a fork of Reloaded?

They have it working, along with DirectX 10.
They are currently preparing a preview video showing all this off, so more of your questions will be answered then.

BTW, i just got hold of the Aero Standard theme, and its perfection....

Looks cool. I dont think i could make it better. Just got those questions:
1. Why are you using old version of WMP in Longhorn, i thought that 11 will be there...
2. Why isn't PPA enabled?

They havent got round to getting WMP11 to work, but it is in their plans.

The beta will be public and available as a patch rather than an ISO, so it doesn't attract unwanted attention.

Ok... great!

And do you have any idea about the patch's size?

Anyway, good job!

I'm not sure about the final, but i think the initial beta one will be around 30Mb, as many of the new apps may not be included.
The final could be anything upto 100Mb as it will include plenty of new apps and themes. This is quite a way off though.

Hey!

I just thought about something... What about the framework 2.0 final?
Because when I tried to install it under Longhorn Reloaded R2 the installation crashed... So, bye bye Visual Studio 2005!

BTW, maybe WMP11 needs DotNet 2.0 (I'm not sure at all but it could be something we can try...). If yes, maybe you'll be able to "install" or "port" WMP11 in this great OS!
