[TUT] Unlock all hidden features in Windows 8 Build 7955
Unlock Hidden Features - RedPill v3:
With RedPill v3 you can unlock:
Advanced Task Manager: C:\Windows\System32 > TM.exe
Immersive Browser: C:\Program Files\Microsoft\Immersive Browser\Microsoft.ImmersiveBrowser > miexplore.exe
Metro Login
Modern Reader: C:\Program Files\Microsoft\Windows.glcnd > glcnd.exe
Modern Task Manager: C:\Windows\System32 > taskui.exe
Modern Webcam: C:\Windows\System32 > Webcam.exe
Pattern Login
Ribbon UI
Guide:
1] Download the archive (download link below);
2] Install Take Ownership;
3] Go to C:\Windows\System32 and take ownership on GenuineCenter.dll, slc.dll, sppcomapi.dll, sppwmi.dll e systemcpl.dll (right click on file > click Take Ownership);
4] Rename the files to have a backup (ex. add .BAK to name - slc.BAK.dll);
5] Copy the modified .dll depending you have installed Windows 8 Build 7955 (PC or VHD) and past in C:\Windows\System32;
6] Restart the computer and you have finished!
Note: RedPill v3 doesn't have problems with Windows Aero and Windows Update.

Download - RedPill v3 (PC + VHD) + Take Ownership: DataFileHost.com
Unlock Auto Colorization:
1] Right click on Desktop and click Personalize;
2] Select Windows 7 Basic theme;
3] Download and install Take Ownership;
4] Go to C:\Windows\Resources\Themes;
5] Copy on Desktop the file aero.theme;
6] Rename as aero.txt (you need to uncheck Hide extension for known type files in Folder Options, View tab) and click Yes;
7] Open aero.txt with Block Note, search (CTRL+F) and replace ColorizationColor=XXXXX with AutoColorization=1;
8] Save the changes at file and rename as aero.theme;
9] Go to C:\Windows\Resources\Themes, take ownership (right click on file > click Take Ownership) and rename aero.theme in aero.BAK.theme;
10] Copy the modified theme from Desktop to C:\Windows\Resources\Themes;
11] Right click on Desktop and click on Personalize;
12] Select Windows 7 theme.

Unlock Application Explorer:
1] Create a new folder;
2] Rename as Applications.{4234d49b-0245-4df3-b780-3893943456e1}.

Unlock Metro Control Panel:
1] Press CTRL+SHIFT+F9 to disable Windows Aero;
2] Click on Start, search and run systemsettings.exe.
Note 1: required RedPill v3 installed.
Note 2: to close it use Task Manager.

1] Press WIN+R;
2] Type control userpasswords2 and press Enter;
3] In Advanced tab, check Require users to press Ctrl+Alt+Delete.

4] Click on Start, search and run glcnd.exe.
CTRL+O: Open file.
CTRL+P: Print file.
Note: required RedPill v3 installed to have Windows Aero borders.

3] Create a new String value called AppID and set {9198DA45-C7D5-4EFF-A726-78FC547DFF53};
Note: to replace the orange ring, see Replace Orange Rings - Ribbon UI.

1] Go to C:\Windows\System32\oobe, search and run msoobe.exe;
Note: required RedPill v3 installed.

Create a new Movie Profile Picture:
1] Make a video with 192 x 192p (Width x Height);
2] Save as .wmv (Windows Media Video) file;
3] Copy the movie in C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\User Account Pictures\Default Pictures;
4] Rename as usertileXX.ms-usertilelarge (where XX is comes the number);
5] Go to Control Panel > User Accounts and Family Safety > User Accounts > Your Look and select your video.
Set wallpaper as Lock Screen:
1] Download and install Take Ownership;
2] Go to C:\Windows\Resources\Ease of Access Themes;
3] Rename basic.theme as basic.txt (you need to uncheck Hide extension for known type files in Folder Options, View tab) and click Yes;
4] Search (CTRL+F) and replace SetLogonBackground=0 with SetLogonBackground=1;
5] Save the changes at file and rename as basic.theme.

Disable Aero.
Ctrl+Shift+F9 and run the miexplore.exe in \program files
You can also get the new OOBE with an fresh installation.
Just mount the .wim, change those files (take ownership and replace) and then commit the changes and install.

Is in this newer version also the .VHD boot an option?
From what I heared that still isn't fixed.

Set wallpaper does not work, I have tried it.. The only way I got to change it is patching AuthExt. Also, any one noticed that when using movie logon images user settings lags?

I unlocked all...but my PC gets frozen when I try to view system properties :/
