Windows 7 + Mobile Intel® 915GM/GMS, 910GML Express Chipset

Post by ReCreate »

Well, I need to find a Mobile Intel® 915GM/GMS, 910GML Express Chipset Family driver for windows 7, I am using the one for XP, it works, but no aero, And it is complaining about incompatibilities. It is also freezing randomly as a result.
I remember I found the vista driver when i was looking for the XP one, Now i can only find the XP one.
So, Can anyone point me to where i can get it? the dell website and the intel website don't help.
Thanks

Windows Vista supports two different graphics driver models: the Windows* Display Driver Model (WDDM) and the Windows* XP Driver Model (XPDM or XDDM). WDDM drivers provide the 3D graphical user interface experience to users. XPDM drivers provide an interface that visually resembles the Windows XP user interface and do not support Windows Vista premium features such as the Microsoft Aero* user interface.

Only XPDM drivers** are available for the following older Intel® graphics controllers:

* Mobile Intel® 915GM/GMS, 910GML Express Chipset Family
* Intel® 82915G/82910GL Express Chipset Family
* Intel® 82865G Graphics Controller
* Intel® 82852/82855 Graphics Controller
* Intel® 82845G Graphics Controller
* Intel® 82830M Graphics Controller
* Intel® 82815 Graphics Controller
* Intel® 82810 Graphics Controller
http://www.intel.com/support/graphics/sb/CS-029325.htm

There are modded drivers available, however.

Try this: http://justendeal.com/driver/855gm_vista_driver.zip

Require DriverMax for import

People in other forum said that it fix the freezing problem. Sorry, no Aero.

You need DriverMax to import the driver.

Maybe you have to remove the XP driver for it to kick it. That is Vista's default display driver.
