The 30th of January 2007 is showing its first light. That means Windows Vista goes on sale to the masses today. Although being slightly delayed, bloated, buggy and annoying Windows Vista is our child. We've all watched it grow from from March 2003 when Longhorn build 3683 first leaked. We've waited eagerly for the next build or the news of the next feature to be added, and nearly all of us have gone head first, installing a bloated and broken alpha or early beta on our main computer, because it was l33t. We've also waited for the 2004 release date... then the 2005 release date... then the "confirmed" 2006 release date...
As Baulmer said in his earlier webcast, "It's an exciting thing to finally be here". Windows Vista Beta 2 had the largest download of any software beta ever and that shows how big the beta scene has become, built entirely around one software product, not even released. Windows Vista will be without a doubt the most important product since Windows 95, and thanks to you guys and the rest of the Beta commuity, its become what many of us wanted it to. January 30th will no longer be remembered as the date Belgium recognised same-sex marragies.
Well, now that Windows Vista is out with the n00bs, and is l33t no more, here are some products that most of us will be looking forward to:
- Windows Vista SP1 Betas
- Windows Server 2007 Betas
- Windows Vienna news
- Windows Home Server Betas
Also, Windows Ultimate Extras should be released today. Here's what to look out for:
Well, that's the error I got when trying to preview it from WinSuperSite... But there's Dreamscene, previously leaked.
Groupshot, download here, included in Ultimate Extras
and Texas Hold 'Em Poker... Well... Poker for Windows Vista .
Also, there's The Windows BitLocker Drive Preparation Tool. There has to be something else. Keep your eyes open for more news as the day progresses.

By the way, Microsoft would like you to show them your wowhere (A promotional site for Vista).
