It is possible to get files out of a rar archive before it is complete, depending on the way it is packaged and the bits that were actually retrieved.
umm im talking about an ISO not a winrar archive.. opening an actual iso is damn near if not impossible unless its complete I've tryed before with other iso's it never worked for me
a rar archive indeed could still be opened..if damaged.. but certainly not at such a low % downloaded.. if im wrong plz tell me how.. bc that is something ide love to know..ty

I believe you can open an incomplete iso, provided you have the first few blocks that make up the file header and TOC. This will only allow you to view the contents though and not necessarily extract any files.

I agree with OG on this one. It also depends on what program you're using for opening the incomplete ISO. If you're using MagicIso or Poweriso, maybe. I don't think Isobuster will allow you to open the file at all however.

pluss as i said before thair was another one that had the sig of 6801 and everyone thought that was fake look how that turned out..
I believe the build some of you guys keep referencing is 6956, and that has to do with someone obtaining an image of the build (not an actual ISO). I believe someone here took the disk image and used 6801's setup to install the files for 6956. That's why the setup.exe has 6801's signature. I highly doubt that this is the case here since 7068's disk image wasn't leaked as well, as was the case with 6956.

u download it and u prove it can be extracted and hw u did it so it can be replicated..
thats my biggest issue no one has shown step by step how to extract the setup.exe from an incomplete iso and the setup.exe be fully intact
yes, that is the point! I downloaded it to the 0,7%.. but I can't opened it and check if it's 7057 or newer. (We've only some pic's ) 7zip says the image is corrupt. And some other programs say the same thing.
And I personally believe that this torrent wasn't a fake. And now, nobody seed cause all people think, it was/is a fake.

From what I've read it was released only to select testers on Connect, I don't know anything about that though. It definitely exists, some Microsoft employee was blogging about it and put a few screenshots online. His blog is here with a screenshot with a build number that matches the torrent: http://blogs.msdn.com/shintak/archive/2 ... 13364.aspx I really don't know about the legitimacy of this... the seeder left and no one has more than 0.7%. Someone claimed that they extracted part of a file to determine build numbers but judging by how much of the file anyone actually got it's pretty unbelievable. I found this on some other forums. Download link was to a site in Chinese.
It's interesting that the torrent went up before that blog post and they have the same build number.
Here it is, file: 7068.0.090321-1322_x86fre_client_en-us_Retail_Ultimate-GRC1CULFRE_EN_DVD.iso Size: 2.52 GB (2,715,779,072 bytes)
According to this it's fake. BUT according to someone, somewhere else (I don't feel like checking), the size of the ISO in this torrent is a bit larger than the 7057 ISO.
