Windows Server Code Name "Longhorn" Build 6001

FTP Server: AbyssUnderground FTP Server
Host: 72.232.61.202
Username: download2
Password: password available from the servers section

File: Pre-Release Operating Systems/Windows Codename Longhorn/Longhorn_Server_wsl_6001.16406.061208-1900_x86fre_server-KB3SFRE_EN_DVD.iso
Size: 1.62GB

(This is the 32-bit version. If there's any interest in the 64-bit one, let me know). -empireum

I know it's already been mentioned by joecool, but anyway, I just got this build up and running. It's not the beta 3, I think, just another internal build. The look&feel is identical to previous betas, the new features/improvements have to be looked for underneath the surface. Interesting to note: The image contains only Enterprise and Enterprise Core, the older images also had Standard and Datacenter editions in them.

I don't think this is true either. In previous builds, or at least in 5384 and later, there has always been a Datacenter release. But I'll check if Datacenter is contained in the x64 ISO as I have just finished downloading it. But this wouldn't explain why Standard is missing as well. You can only decide between Enterprise and Enterprise Core.

edit: No Standard or Datacenter in #6001 x64 either.

Has anybody seen any datacenter releases? I have yet to see a Vista Data Center

Yes, I have. Datacenter (and Standard) was available in previous server builds, at least from 5384 to 5757. 6001 seems to be only available as Enterprise so far, however. Here are some screenshots of Datacenter (not mine, however):

Ah, thanks. I was wanting to do that, but kept forgetting it. I'll see what I can add to your shots, then.

Still getting this on torrent, has about 2 days to go at the rate it's
downloading.
I have about 50 peers connected, of whom all have around 75%..
Seems that as soon as someone gets the lot they keep ditching the
torrent without continuing to seed...
Heck I only just kicked the 5600 server torrent this morning after about
7 weeks of seeding..
I was pushing to get a 2 to 1 share ratio but only got to 1.8 before
the d/l of this, now it's back to 1.4 to 1..

Edited for spelling...

Why don't you download it from the FTP? Itll be much quicker and no need to share back as much as you do with torrents.

I never had access to your server up until your email earlier on today..
& to be honest, I like knowing that my machine is doing something
usefull whilst I'm asleep at night...
I run Azureus all night every single night whilst asleep, have done all
year now, it's become a ritual , the last thing I do before going to bed
is rebooting to the 3rd partition & seeding or downloading, then back to
work & reboot back to my main...

Thanks for the offer, I don't mind uploading to keep my share ratio up
though as it stays on for 8 to 9 hours every night anyhow, usually seeding..

It didn't really fuss me not having access so I didn't want to bother you
with requests that you probably get all day anyway...
I'm not really here for the servers, just happy to help & share
really { within reason }...
A place I can visit to break the monotony of spending 14+ hours a day
at work...
