New Mallware disguised as Vista Product key

Post by Andrew »

Image

A new threat for Windows Vista pirates has arisen. This time it comes in the form of "Windows Vista All Versions Activation 21.11.06". Downloading and running the exe file will install "Trojan-PSW.Win32.LdPinch.aze" onto your computer.

Anyone who would run an executable file which calls itself a product key deserves to become infected, however there are enough Anti-Piracy measures already, and distributing mallware is not funny. Making matters worse NOD32 and Norton products with the latest virus definitions do not detect this mallware.

And you shouldn't be at a site that promotes sharing illegal windows betas. Leave your morals at the door, kthx. Until Vista trial goes online I think pirating's ok personally.

pirating betas is a bit different to pirating final stuff, as generally you can't use a beta as an everyday OS.

Anyway, anyone stupid enough to download these files should get infected
