Post by inxsfan92 »

has there been any? Is there any news as if this is going to be released? I might finally buy a 360 if this game is not that far away

Its not coming out. Its in some sort of licensing fiasco. Since multiple people hold the rights to the game content. Its a gamers wish but its not happening.

Perfect Dark on the other hand, might make it to XBLA since MS now owns Rare.

Even if it leaked out, your 360 would most likely need to be able to run unsigned code.

True. Goldeneye is technically licensed to Nintendo, but created by Rare, who is now owned by Microsoft. It would be hard for both companies to earn some form of revenue from the game since it was created a decade ago and the licensing is so complicated. Hell, maybe they'll let Sony PS3 have it.
Since January 2005, I've been in the Operating Systems Prototype Community. I've enjoyed learning more these past four years about the development of the Windows and Macintosh operating systems, as well as learning of new user-based projects that optimize system performance.

well i don't have a 360. not gonna buy one

I modded my original Xbox today with the UnleashX dashboard, and tried to play Goldeneye 007 on Surreal64, it ran well, so that'll have do until Microsoft and Nintendo settle their differences (which will probably never happen, but you never know)

Use XBMC, it's way better. By that I mean that the two are hardly comparable. It's really that much better than any other dashboards.

Download: http://t3ch.yi.se/ (personally, i update to the latest SVN build every month or so, i usually don't have any problems)

The problem is its a bit more complicated than just Microsoft and Nintendo. You must also factor in people who have the rights to the James Bond character in general. So that confuzzles things up in general.

Do other games play better?

Due to the way GoldenEye was programmed, it would be slower on slower systems that could play other games fine.

EA owns the rights now to bond games now. so basicly there won't be a good bond game for a long time.

Actually its Activision Blizzard that owns the rights now.

I always had the same problems with Goldeneye on my Xbox. Do you have the latest version of the emulator? Did you get it from xBins?
