This download link contains the official instillation instructions as well as all the required post-install updates, Enjoy!

1. Prepare a machine with clean install of Windows Vista Service Pack 1.
1. The machine will need to meet or exceed the minimum hardware requirements for Windows Vista -http://support.microsoft.com/kb/919183
2. The Windows Vista Service Pack 1 operating system must be Windows Vista Home Premium or Ultimate (x86 or x64)
3. Following operating system install, do not launch Windows Media Center or go through Windows Media Center Setup
2. Install Windows Media Center TV Pack 2008
1. Windows Media Center TV Pack 2008 (x86)
2. Windows Media Center TV Pack 2008 (x64)
3. Install the PlayReady PC Runtime
1. PlayReady PC Runtime (x86) - www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.asp ... layLang=en
2.
PlayReady PC Runtime (x64) - www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.asp ... layLang=en
4. Install the following patches from the Download Center
1. KB951685 ( http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/951685 ) - The video playback application stops responding when you watch video or Live TV on a Windows Vista-based computer
2. KB950754 ( http://support.microsoft.com/kb/950754 ) - Noticeable problems occur in the video when you use the DirectSound renderer on Windows Vista
5. Install any required or recommended Windows Updates
6. Launch Windows Media Center and go through Windows Media Center Setup

Rather than doing a clean install, you can (I believe) do an in place upgrade to get the same result. During install, if you have already configured the SP1 media center, if gives you the option to install anyway with the risk of lost settings and undetectable TV tuners so try it at your own risk.

Note: This is the x86 version only, I couldn't get a hold of the x64.

Update: The build string for this is "6.1.1000.18273" which is the RTM build according to http://support.microsoft.com/kb/955485

Update 2: I installed the TV pack without doing anything to my (decidedly not clean) vista install without any problems, all I had to do was run through the setup for my (usb) TV Tuner again (though I did unplug it before running the setup).

Update 3: Same problem as with the beta release that was leaked, Music Visualizations aren't working for me. Let me know if its the same with you. <-- Turns out that this is a preexisting problem with media center that happens when Non-stock visualizations are installed on a system, that predates the TV pack.

Update 4: Reuped to Mediafire (its also on the FTP server)

Update 5: Media Center developed stability problems when watching Live TV including randomly loosing the tv stream, media center locking up/severe lag after or during watching TV, (none of which happened before) probably as a result of not starting from a clean state. When I finish doing an Upgrade install, then reinstalling the TV pack I'll post new results. Guess they didn't release this publicly for a good reason.

Completely Hypothetically :P You could use a proxy and upload it to mediafire anonymously. Then send the link to someone else to post here or somewhere else that would make good use of it. Completely Hypothetically of course. *hint*

Let me know if its the same with you. <-- Turns out that this is a preexisting problem with media center that happens when Non-stock visualizations are installed on a system, that predates the TV pack. If anyone knows how to fix it I would be grateful (as uninstalling the visualizations doesn't work)

: Successfully reverted back to a clean slate using upgrade install.
:: Seems to be working much better now.

Really god damn annoys me when people do that. If you can't leak, keep it to yourself. No one thinks your "1337" for doing that - just a jerk.

Wonderful!! Now I can update all my machines. If only The x86 (and non-HP x64) version of the Feature Pack for Wireless would get released...

As soon as I have a chance I will install it and compare the build tag to the x86 (unless someone else beats me to it)
