If you live in the United States and are over 18 years old, Microsoft is giving away Windows Vista Business and/or Office 2007. All you need to do is to complete three webcasts. Then wait 6-8 weeks for delivery.
Everyone was very suspicious of this at first as it looks too good to be true, although it now looks to be legit (I think it was mentioned in some posts on the Channel9 site, and somewhere else as well). It seems as though you can only get one of the two gifts though, unless you want to be taxed on their retail value. I really really wish it wasn't US-only, as I would certainly give it a try - anyone want to lend me a US address for shipping it to?
I have done alot of looking into this "FREE" deal and it seems to be legit. It uses Windows Live ID which connects to Microsoft (live.com) and it's site certificate is signed by The Microsoft Corporation is Redmond Washington.
It has copyrights from Microsoft and in it's Terms it says that it is done by Microsoft.
I don't know how good you can get. If it is a hoax than the person is really good at faking it.
Also the nameservers came up as 1.msft.com and stuff which is registered to Microsoft.com.

I know it's really really slow.
At first I thought it was a my Wireless Network because I've been having so many trouble with it. It drives me crazy.
Someone called Microsoft and Microsoft said that the site was a scam.
But I can't see how that is possible the site is signed by Microsoft and is using Live IDs and it can tell if its a wrong password so it must be real.
yes my uncle works for microsoft and as much as you think its true its a big scam. how can you be certain that someone will give u hundreds of dollars worth of software for free?

That's pretty uncredible. It's been proved numerous time that this indeed real, though it wasn't targeted more for developers.
@ ____- they said 4-8 weeks after it's released, so I guess somewhere in February is the earliest we'll get them.
