Windows Vista Service Pack 2 Details.

Post by HeinanXP »

Yes, MS just released Vista Service Pack 1, and MS already start planning the next SP for Vista OS.

So, until now, there is an Alpha version, available only to MS employees.
Build number is 6.0.6002.23540.

its expected that its kernel will be 6.03, as the Windows Server Sp1 Beta 1 Kernel.

As was SP2 for XP that changed a lot in the XP, SP2 for vista will be the same, it will change some minor UI bugs, adds the support for Windows Health Center, and most of all, Windows Media Player 11.5 and IE 7.5 will be slipstream into Vista.

* WMP 11.5 & IE 7.5 are versions that will be available only to Vista SP2 users!

1. It isn't in beta
2. If you did, you'd be losing your job sometime soon!

If you dont know, primary MS beta testers always get alpha builds, M builds, and beta builds.

MS employees can tell some things, thats not a secret...
Vista SP2 isnt a secret.

IE 8 & WMP 12 will be slipstreamed into Vista SP2, also, Windows Kernel Build will be 6005!

Um, the last thing I heard was that service packs will be just bug fixes and security rollups again. Windows XP SP2 was a special service pack that had a development team of people who weren't supposed to work on service packs. That's why Longhorn was delayed before the "big reset". Microsoft could've sold SP2 as "Windows XP Second Edition" because it was so big.

Microsoft says they will never do that again and service packs will be back to normal. I doubt it will have IE "7.5" because IE 8 Beta 2 is being released this August.

Yep. I agree. It's one thing being mistaken, it's another inventing complete bullshit and trying to make out that it's genuine.

Until you give proof of your findings, you aren't gonna get access to the server, so reposting this isn't going to help.

IE 7.5? LOL!

It's already known that Microsoft has started development on IE8 (there's even a public build of Beta 1). And it won't be available for Vista SP2 only. As I previously said, Beta 1 was already released of IE8, and it was available for Vista AND XP.

None of you understand that post, right?

IE8 & WMP12 will be released to XP SP3, Vista SP2.

Those versions will be slipstreamed into Windows 7!

Build 6.0.6002.23540? Nice. I didn't know they'd compiled 7156 builds of Service Pack 2 yet. It's a really huge progress!

lol? you really want to say that microsoft planns builds? also, you dont even know all builds of win 7, the first one was a 56xx and not a 64xx, seems like you "genius" dont understand how build numbers work, also, having access to rare stuff from ms's side and want access to our ftp?

thats pretty funny, but be true, youre a troll, right?

Lol, you are an idiot. I dont know who you are and where you take your information from, but it is simply bullshit. The fact that you post alleged buildnumbers of upcoming major milestones of Windows 7, shows that you have no idea about the development of software. How can someone know the build numbers of a Win 7 Milestone which isn't developed yet?

Please stop claiming to be someone which isnt you and stop posting [censored].
Im sorry for you if you are too dumb to read our rules, but I think we dont need a [censored]-talking and annoying person here.

@Andy, can ypou plase ban him?

When I asked him why he was spreading lies throughout the forums, here's what he said:

"Look, maybe this info seems false, but this info is all true, I swear!

MS working ways are weird, but thats there ways!

If you think thats false, then you have some error!"

It seems (and this is just my opinion) that he was acting this way on purpose. Noone can be that naive and think that people will believe him with such ridulously false claims. Right? Please tell me he had more sense than that...

I know this topic should be done with since his account was removed, but this just gets me like no other.
