Found a link to a leaked DOTA 2 client today.

However, the file downloads at around 1KB/s for me. Could someone else download this and verify that it's legit?

No viruses, archive opens perfectly.

Torrent is legit and so far I haven't had any AntiVirus notifications, thx Inevitab.

I didnt try out the client though so I dont know if it works...

no, they are just filenames listed in a txt (something like when you run a dirlist command that makes a file with the content of the folder) ...that's not the same which was leaked

I think it's packed with LZMA2, you need latest 7-Zip.

When I got the DOTA 2 leak I made another steam account on steam to try it out. It is functional, today there were 104 testers playing. Sadly I couldn't play with the testers because I don't have enough files to even play the game in gameplay.

Pretty sad the leakers account is in the login menu.

I haven't downloaded it yet but presumably there would be a way to crack through any sort of release date check or something by changing the time server it connects to.

I tried connecting to the known DotA 2 beta servers when it first leaked, but it complained that I needed Steam running to connect to the server.
I'd rather not have my account banned so I didn't pursue it any further.

I'm pretty sure it's a bit late for that, Valve's servers would now be out of date with the leaked client
