it is called tooltip :)

and also that is not complete how skin should look

the Caption portion of window frame should be this: Image

or to those blind to details:

I think that might be a bug with Whislter, under windows XP the title bars are displayed correctly for me.
Please remember to cable manage your server! It's just as beautiful on the inside as your gaming PC is on the outside.

Calling Odyssey an application is a strange way of referring to an operating system. That leads me to wonder if that reference to Odyssey might actually be a reference to another product with the same codename, as opposed to the cancelled operating system.
question is, was there in past ever a legit direct comfirmation that Odyssey was an OS ?
coz as far back as i remember it was only hear-say, copy-paste from other blogs and rumors
and it always came back to "Neptune and Odyssey team merged into Whistler"

any MS DEV that was quoted ?
any direct proof that Odyssey was an OS ?

could it be a component like MARS was ?

We have PDF's from the Anti-trust case that are linked in the wiki article here - https://www.betaarchive.com/wiki/index. ... ws_Odyssey

Does anyone know how to do enable color hottracking? Also, where is the file which contains the build number?

Actually, examining the code with some friends we found some Odyssey/Neptune references, and we discovered that Neptune and Odyssey were still alive even AFTER 1999, when they were supposedly merged into Whistler:

We found these in some documents, the first one which dates from 04/11/2000
4th of November or 11th of April?

When I searched up neptune in the XP source code a month to 3 months ago I found a folder containing the source code of Windows Neptune. Maybe we can confirm multiple builds of Neptune in that folder. Also here is the folder path NT\shell\ext\neptune.

Also I didn't leak the Neptune source code the person who leaked the XP Source code leaked the Neptune source code with it I just found the folder.

A brief look into said directory reveals that it's obviously not the full source code of Windows Neptune, but just a bunch of components that were built back then.
This directory is for long-term storage of old code from the Neptune project.
This code probably doesn't compile; it isn't intended to. It's here so that
the work we did then isn't lost if we ever want to pillage it.
Seems to be mostly related to Web Folders.

While looking through the leak, in the folders pertaining to shell, there are 'GNUMakefile' files scattered around. Digging through them it appears they're for the IE for Unix project. Just thought that was interesting.

Another tidbit is that the IE for Unix project was also developed by Mainsoft, who was indirectly involved with the NT 4 source leak.

Does anybody know how to compile Candy correctly?

I tried using the tools from the XP SP1 source leak and just trying to pack the Candy theme directly. This is what I got when I tried that:
.\$One.ini(640): error - The name 'Frame' is not an enum value of 'WINDOWPARTS'

I know that much, but I haven't looked around enough to see what those manual adjustments are. I'll try again and see if I can get it working.

Looking into it further reveals that Window was split up into multiple images after Candy was developed -- for example, instead of Window.Frame like you see in Candy, in all of the other themes, you see Windows.FrameLeft, Windows.FrameRight, etc.
