How can i modify the Welcome text in Windows XP

Post by Missing_no »

Hello,

I have a question to all:

How can I edit the Welcome Site Message... in the german version it's "Willkommen" I'll change it to: "Sie haben sich erfolgreich angemeldet" ...

Please help me!

Thank you!

I think it's here:
\Windows\System 32\logonui.exe\String Table\1\xxxx*\7

*your country\language code

You need to use the registry editor.

You probably mean a resource editor, like Resource Hacker

Download Resource Hacker, open logonui.exe, than expand tree String table, than expand tree 1 and click on the symbol of your language (like 1033 for english, 1045 for polish, etc.). Than find line starting with 7 and here you will see "welcome" so edit it to whatever you want. You will need to change the files in safe mode propably (do backup first).

And sorry for my grammar, i'm tired.

Just look in the tables there and spot a german language one.
