Windows Runtime

Post by WinPC »

Just now, I was talking to a friend who's a software developer, and he said that he at least once had a copy of Microsoft Excel that used a Runtime version of Windows, before Windows 1.0 was released, and I would like to know what version it was, and if he still has this old version, he's going to give it to me, and I'll share it with all of you. It sounds like it uses a very early release of Windows. And it's the version of the Windows Runtime release that I'm asking about, not the version of Microsoft Excel. And again, if he still has this, I'm going to share it with all of you.

Are you sure it's not the version of Excel that had a minimal copy of Windows 2.x included?

I'm pretty sure he said it that it was developed before Windows 1.0. If he gives it to me, I'll see what it does.
