Wasn't It just a demo that was released? I'm not exactly that savvy with the history of OS's, But I thought that it was just a demo?

It doesn't exist, never has, was never produced, was never handed out, and was never handed out and then taken back again.

Windows started with 1.01.

Windows 1.0 was "Windows Premiere Edition" and shipped a couple months earlier to certain customers; it did not go to the retail channel.

It's not worth arguing over it - it's been debated many times before here and the answer is that there are many different theories on what version 1.00 was and whether or not it actually existed, and no-one knows for sure.
