Hey all,
Recently, i installed Beryl in the GNOME desktop environment. I still have Compiz-fusion, but Emerald (window decorator) will not start! So, i tried to use KDE's windows decorator, but every time i open OpenOffice2.2 it crashes, and, when i start my computer, there is NO window decorator! (see the weird screenshot below) How can i get emerald working again?

What distribution are you using? I had a similar problem with Gentoo trying to get Compiz-fusion and Emerald running. Your screen most likely hasnt been composited (i think that was the correct term) a quick check by running terminal and executing `compiz` should spit out an error whether or not your screen has been composited. If it has you need to run the CCSM application to make sure window decorations is enabled.
