He has not access yet to the FTP.
But i will upload it when the download is finished.

EDIT:
The CD is not bootable.
I have added a Windows 98se bootdisk (english) for Fdisk and Format and CD-rom drivers.

I have tested it and it worked, Windows 98 build 1998 (First Edition).

Of course he can upload it after New Year's Eve. Don't know about the 98s on the server, I just want to prevent people from wasting their bandwidth by uploading something that is against the rules.

According to our rules (which apply to the server), abandonware is anything older than 10 years, regardless of the support status.

Anything BETA can be uploaded but RTM products cannot be uploaded until it is considered abandonware (10 years or when support stops, whichever is earlier).

If support status does play a role, then 9x's are allowed to be uploaded. Sorry, I thought only the age was of importance.

I would say, the 9x and ME are abandoned, microsoft ended support back in 2006 favouriting the NT line.

Question: (Just a question)

When can XP RTM uploaded?
PLEASE READ FURTHER!

On Wikipedia:
October 2001 Windows XP 5.1.2600 Unsupported for RTM and Service Pack 1. Current for Service Pack 2.

Link:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windows

So if it can, and somebody has it, the Home Edition RTM. Without a key

That's only the SP version, an unsupported XP RTM could be updated using legally free updates and become supported again, so it's still warez.
