I Found some Information about "Windows for Warships", what do you think? True or Fake? ... _warships/

i think it's just a play on words, ie windows for workgroups. those anti-MSers are known for such things.

The US navy had a Windows-based "smart-cruiser" program for a while. The USS Yorktown was disabled for several hours after its experimental Windows NT 4 based computer crashed.

Sounds either fake or sensationalist.

I have never heard of 'Windows for Warships', but can say that stripped down versions of Windows XP are often used in mission critical applications in the military.

Off the top of my head, I can think of a radar system for warships developed by Saab which runs on plain WinXP.
