Forum rules

Please read the following rules before posting a download request in this area:

1. Don't post a request if you have under 10 posts as stated on the front page. If you do anyway, it will be deleted without further notice. This also applies to other members: If you see a request by someone with less than 10 posts and it hasn't been deleted yet, please don't reply to it.
2. Don't request for warez or any copyrighted software. Only betas (no matter how old or new) and finals of operating systems and applications that are at least 10 years old and therefore classified as abandonware are allowed to be uploaded to and shared on the BetaArchive FTP server.
3. If you have your own FTP server where you'd like other members to upload what you're looking for to, please don't post its login details in any open forum as that will probably lead to abuse. Post the login details in the Private Servers section instead.
4. Check that we don't already have the file on our FTP servers. If you don't have access to the FTP servers then ask someone who has (a moderator for example).

Does anyone have in their pocession or know of anyone who's has any beta versions of Office 95, 97, 2000, etc? I'd really like to mess with them and see how these became developed. Thanx!

I've got a one pre-release version of each of Office XP and 2003, but not of the older ones.

I'd like to get the Pre-release of Office Xp from you....what pre-release version of Office 2003 do you have? I already have Beta 2.

Actually, if it's not on the severs, could you upload it? The original ISO would be awesome. Thanks.

The versions I have are "Microsoft Office Professional with Microsoft FrontPage Corporate Preview Beta" for XP (not sure what beta milestone it is, but the discs are dated January 2001, so presumably pretty close to the final product - there are 5 CDs but only one contains the software, the others are various language packs and documentation), and Office 11 (2003) Beta 1 (one CD, comes with 3 other CDs containing documentation, .Net Server RC2 and Exchange Server 2003 Beta 2). If these aren't already on the server then I could maybe send some of it if you're interested in having them.

I've uploaded the XP and 2003 betas to the server :) I've put the entire contents of each CD (just the disc containing the actual software, not the additional discs) inside each RAR file - they're not ISOs but all the files are there, so if you want to make ISOs the volume labels are just OFFICE for the XP one and OFFICE11 for 2003. The Office XP beta apparently has an expiry date of August 31st 2001 before entering RFM (note that you will only be able to use these betas a certain number of times each time you install them anyway, before they go into RFM demanding activation)

I would rather not leak the Product Keys, given that they're unique to each beta kit, but you should be able to find suitable ones online. I also have some XP beta ones in a big list of MS serials that I found somewhere that might work with this version of you can't find anything.

PS I've moved this topic to Download Requests/Offers.

which one, the first one wasn't for testers but was leaked, after that there were 2 (or 3) official beta's, the first one was a pre-beta.

Yeah I know, a 6 month bump, but with relevant info...
I decided that it'd been that long since updating my beta list,
that I'd troll though another box of disks tonight & update the
list a little...
Found a few interesting surprises....
apart from a beta of Works 4.5a, I found Office98 Beta 1 for mackintosh,
apart from others...
1st I'd ever heard of an office beta for mac...
They even made a beta of the "Windows98 Starts Here" CD...
& IE4 Beta 1 for Unix...
