i just got this on windows update

and im not on the beta or anything

edit:
just installed it and it is 8.5.1238.0601 and it decided to install the spanish version

Cool, but still Beta 1. I'm waiting for the Final to make it to MSN Messenger 8.5
Windows "2000" is the worst OS ever, followed by Windows XP.

Could it be that you never uninstalled the original leak?
That might explain the spanish, I can't tell because I've since reinstalled windows.

i thought that i did once the english version came out. i guess i didn't

I checked somewhere but was wondering what new features would be included, unless it was just tiny security patches or something.

Ahh, I guess we have to wait until version 9 to see what new additions they may do to the program.
