Can someone explain this? I've just installed 4008, I didn't use a BIOS date or anything, and look what happened with the timebomb. Apparently, I've got -1190 Days remaining, and I have restarted the system numerous times, and it hasn't triggered. Very Wierd...

There must be something wrong with the regkey
Code:
HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Session Manager\Executive\PriorityQuantumMatrix

It stores the the time that Windows Trials will expire

Code:
0000 94 09 53 DC xx xx xx xx
0008 BA 9A C7 01

Xs stand for the time it will expire. For example in a RTM Windows Vista Ultimate all the Xs would be 0s

Code:
0000 94 09 53 DC 00 00 00 00
0008 BA 9A C7 01

Unfortunately, I can't check it now, as I removed the timebomb to be on the safe side. I'll see if i can replicate the problem though.

Could you give me another example to see how is it saved (where are days, years, months, etc.)?

I bet it's just stored as a UNIX date (4 bytes is the standard).

Yeah, Windows NT stores dates in the standard UNIX way.
