The strange thing is, if the game had come out a couple years earlier without all the hype, it would have fared far better. I think the bitch ad made people particularly vicious towards the game.
Also the map format will work in Quake fine (make sure you add version 30 support in the Quake engine first), the only problem is the textures which will need some looking into...

I feel bad about this game being so awful, because john romero had all the right ideas, but i guess this is what he gets for trying to make a game without design sensibilities of tom hall and the technical sensibilities john carmack.
