Longhorn Server

Post by hounsell »

I have recently found on connect the longhorn server page, and I was able to request a key. Unfortunately, microsoft no longer have the download on the site. the key is for Beta 2, Build 5384. I can not find this build anywhere. Could i use the key on any other Longhorn Builds, such as 6001, etc?

yes, you can

You don't even need to enter a key when installing build 5600 or newer, but 5384, for example, will need one. And I think the #5384 on Andy's server is the client build (i.e. Vista Beta 2), not the server one. If there's enough interest in Longhorn Server Beta 2, I can upload that one in a couple of weeks (sorrry, no time at the moment).
