By the way, how large will the ISO be and how did you port the licensing subsystem to 2k3? Is it just copy-paste then change the build numbers or do you have to decompile it?

It actually would be easier if the first longhorn after the reset (3790) build would leak, no modding needed. And you can probably just install server 2003 updates on it.

what are the advantages of the 5.2 kernel?
5.2 is a bit compatible with the 6.0 (Vista) kernel, I doubt it can solve the "not a valid Win32 application" on Vista-linked (but not using Vista DLLs) apps.

Interesting! I'll help with Beta Testing (on Both a VM and a real PC if you want; Godomaga hasn't seen use since it's horrible windows 2000 VGA accident).

Yes, the Fusion project internally (atleast my lab) does contain Workstation and Server SKUs.
Well, you are using "PantherXp" engine? I want to use Vista beta 1 engine, I want to install on top of another system without boot and use WinpE 2.0 native.
And....Are you compiled server client and workstation client? You know how to change SKU name?
Exemple: Windows Xp Professional for Windows "ShortHorn" Ultimate edition.

The Plan: The Kernel Update project is to make the Windows Server 2003 Enterprise Trial into a customized Windows XP Professional. This will allow users of Windows XP to upgrade to the Server 2003 platform retaining the Windows XP UI (GINA, and all.)
Current Points: Remove all traces of Windows Server 2003. (0% DONE) Change codebase from ServerNT to WinNT without breaking anything. (50% DONE) Implement the Windows XP Professional WPA and Product Key Libraries (100% DONE) Implement the Windows XP Client Components (5% DONE) Add the Windows XP Billboards and Setup (56% DONE)
Component List: DirectMusic Freecell Hearts Minesweeper Solitaire Spider Solitaire Pinball System Restore Movie Maker NET Framework 1.0.3705 Media Center Plus DME Tablet PC Sonic CD and DVD Burning
Screens: Windows XP MCE and TPC on Kernel Update Welcome Screen Setup Billboards. (New version uses WinXP Text.) Text Mode Setup Do note that the test versions will have a timebomb. You will also need a Windows XP Professional Key.
Suggestions for extras are welcome!
Anyone willing to help out?
EDIT: Wording updated. EDIT2: Component List Added and screens
You making this? Did you ask Microsoft? It might be illegal to get Windows XP & Windows Server 2003 & then combine it, then let People download it for it.

Technically, as per your stipulations Corpse, everything I do is "illegal" then, hell, even opening NTOSKRNL in xvi32 and changing the build number is illegal because you're modifying it.
I'm doing it for academic purposes because I use the WRK eula.
