The fact there's no x64 version of Win 98 shouldn't be the significant factor. You couldn't use the advantages of 64-bit with '98 either. I ran 98SE successfully on my Athlon64 box and it flew...

I think XP Pro is the best It's fast it's stable and I run it on my computer in our house with SP2. To bad the family one only has XP Home.

i dont like windows xp home my laptop is running it it takes over a min to boot on p4 2.40GHZ 512mb ddr ram + 27Gb HDD

im getting a new laptop soon :D :D :D

well... i tried NT 4 some time ago... it ran very smooth...
but XP is more compatible obviously, so xp sp2
