Does Microsoft store every betas/interim builds they made?
or they just delete the old builds when they start a new build?
If they do, someone in Microsoft can leak some of betas?

Yes, they DO store every single build. There's isn't solid evidence on that though. And if someone leaked a build they would be in deep [censored], especially if it's an UX build.

User Experience, they are the builds with all the cool Interface features and eye candy that may never see the light of day, but the ideas may be recycled in the future and end up in a different version of Windows.

Among other responsibilities, the Archives department preserves Microsoft history, be it old hardware, old software, old documentation, or ephemera. Last year, one of my colleagues was cleaning out his office because he was moving to Granada, and of the junk he was going to throw out, the Archives asked me to save the following:

Windows NT Workstation 3.51 for PowerPC (box and CD)
Windows NT Workstation 3.51 for Alpha AXP (CD only)
Documentation for two internal UI libraries from over a decade ago
Word 97/Excel 97 Service Pack 3 for Alpha AXP
Microsoft Excel promotional pens
Windows 95 launch event commemorative paperweight
MSN 8 commemorative gold master CD and ship gift box
MSN Internet Access promotional booklet and CD (unopened)
An official CD of an internal build of a 1999 user interface project that was later abandoned (although its spirit survives in Windows XP).
The official CD of pictures from the Windows XP RTM party (unopened)
A lava lamp prize from an internal promotional campaign
and my favorite

An HP RPN calculator which was issued to employees as part of the standard office equipment (back in the day).

Its a real shame that Microsofts archives aren't open to the public.
I for one would love to see what concept's never saw the light of day.

While I worked at Microsoft, I got a good look at the Windows XP Source Code. I didnt have Vista Source Code, because I quit me job at MS and started up me own company. Which, is a MS PArtner - lol. I also got a look at the rare hologram disc - Windows 98 SE, and Windows Advanced Server Limited Edition, and the DAtacenter one, only released in Itanium Versions.

Seriously? I do realize that Microsoft offers an academic look into their kernel source code, so perhaps that's what you were able to look at? Which version of Windows Advanced Server? Whistler or NT5?

I think they are no UX builds leaked in the internet... Otherwise, what UX build is the Vista one?

Ah, It'd be cool to have access. Just imagine someday we had an arranged date to go into a Tour by Microsoft Archives with the freedom of grabbing all the bits our computers would fit. Could you imagine all the wonders we would get?
Ohhh, if that could just be true!
A phone call
Hey, it´s ... from Microsoft. I was calling you to confirm your Archives Unlimited Visit. Please confirm ASAP
hahahaha
Just imagine

Yes, if only some MSFT employee anonymously leaks everything from the Archives. Until then we can wait until everything leaks, one build at a time...

Thanks for the replys :)
If the MS Archive opens, that would be wonderful!
If that happens, I would get a copy of Memphis first.

Ohh, first I'd get Chicago Build 1
and then I'd get the first pre pre pre pre pre alpha of Windows 1.00, meaning, the oldest Windows thing available.
Those are the two ones.
Imagine working there!
Just guarding the door.It must be amazing.

They must have to keep all builds they have made. They would need records to look back on in the event that they need information from a specific build to improve newer builds.
