Microsoft Windows 8 Professional (''Windows 8'' 6.2.8161.0) (m3) [English-US]

Just noticed this on the FTP server, along with international 9845, server 8148 and 9883. 8161 however seems the most interesting.
That's one more new previously unleaked Windows 8 build! :)
Read hounsell's post below for more builds.

Anonymous uploads happen all the time you know. There is a reason why they want to stay anonymous. But you believe what you want, if you rather believe something else that's your problem. So stop acting and just understand you don't have all the facts. I am very strict when it comes to closed leaks and I would have no reason to put on any of these unless someone else did first. I don't take credit for them, nor am I interested in doing so. And you know very well that these already circulated outside of the group, so someone putting these on anonymously would only be a matter of time.

Also, if you have an issue with this you can contact me in private, this is not a topic for this kind of discussion.

-thats the same FBL as the D9 build! So it should have the start screen, since it's newer than 7965... or not?

Holly crap, I hope those will see the FTP .........
C*rse sinofsky, without him those would be out by now! Even if they lack start screen, they could still have some "secrets" in them...

Here's something in 8056 that's half RTM and 7989 (during setup):
Image

Isn't that in RTM too?

Monochrome ugly sized background? While the rest is in colour :P

There we go :) :

Almost 100% like 7989..

Like that background. Wish there was a dewatermarked one out.
Anyone try 7963? I'd like to run it to see its Tablet PC components. (7989's metro ones looked nice)

@Lukas since you're reading this, why don't immersive apps work in 8056?

WOW!!! I think no one would had expected Sinofsky's Great Wall of Secrecy to crash violently like this.

Could it be possible to reinstall the missing parts of the Modern framework? It appears that there are some goodies in 8056. We just need to keep fooling around.

Could it be possible to reinstall the missing parts of the "Mo framework"? It appears that there are some goodies in 8056. We just need to keep fooling around.

Doubtful, since all you could is reproduce it from another build(the closest we have are 7989 and 8102), and since the code changed from build to build, it may not work. But for other things, ask Lukas, as he knows better. But I agree, there are goodies in 8056. You just need to look closer. Mo framework is abbreviation for Modern Framework.

Here's 7973.fbl.core1: (for the moment without redpill)
Image

Yes, it has 7989's bootscreen too.

Immersive CPL in 7973(used a tool found on TCB to make it full screen):

Nope. The actual goodies were included in more restricted labs. I'll leave this behind.

8056, different lab
Also, yes, MS [censored] us over for WDP, color changing and Start patterns were already implemented early.

But color changing only affects logoff in 8056 for some reason. Also, I think 8102 lacks that because it was winmain and it took a while for it to be merged.
Image

BTW, notice this(but sadly it doesn't work as said above since its an immersive app, throws a "Class not registered" error.):
