I found this site while looking for old OS like so many before me. I collect x86 (and x86-64) OSs and run them on a beefy ESXi rig virtualized. I also love the old games, especially the SSI ones. I have a box of old stuff from the 286 days that might have some things that you don't yet.

Hi there. I Found BetaArchive when I was looking to make a video on upgrading from Windows Codename Chicago to Windows Codename Threshold/Redstone. The numerous amount of BetaArchive references from BetaWiki brought me here, and now the best way to get access to all of these betas is through BetaArchive. I hope that I get FTP Access and I am able to complete my project.

Hello :beta: community,

Long story short, I'm into software preservation in general and emulation preservation specifically. Been active since 1997. This seem like a cool place for what I'm passionate about.

Regards,
Ramon

Hello.
My hobby is programming in assembler. (My home PC is still run on Win XP x64 SP2 with newer Windows only in VMs)
24/06/2019 I created 1st COM server library completely written in assembler - 8kb size. sources are open.
I inspired by idea to make DX SDK antology with examples and tools in it completely rewritten in assembler. (And after creating COM server it is become possible task, because whole DX is built over COM)
This site is only place where I could found Microsoft DirectX 4.0 SDK (1996-02). Until yesterday I didn`t know that it is even exists.
That is not problem if I got download access later or even never - nobody knows that such version were released.
But for completeness I hope I could grab it.
Nice to know that such archive as betaarchive.com is exists.

I just wanted to say hello to the community. I have been a computer nerd since 1999 and as times have changed, things have changed, softwares have changed but legacy stuff is still the best that is why I joined this community where there are so many like minded people.

Hi, I'm Rani. I've had a fondness for Microsoft software ever since my partner did a stint at Microsoft Research in Cambridge about a decade ago. She's moved on to another company now but we still have a lot of stuff in our apartment from that time, so I hope I can find something to contribute. I found out about this site by following some tweets back here, and I can't wait to get stuck in.

Heyjo, wazzup y'all? I'm theANY. I know BetaArchive now for years and I thought it would be time to become a member of it and share some stuff with the world. First thing I will upload to the server will be a Crysis 3 beta I got with a PS3 TOOL (development console) which I used to compare some things. I am already packing up the files and do everything required so it does get added to the lib. So see y'around.

Hello, I'm a programmer and interested in the history and beta version of Windows and other software. I found Betaarchive in a forum by coincidence, and thought it's very comprehensive and useful for me to search for Beta version. I am very curious to see the treasure in the FTP server.
