Favourite OS
First Edition UNIX
I remember someone saying, some time ago, that the early versions of OS/2 detect the CPU when booting the install floppy (in the same way that WindowsNT 3.1 and 3.5 do), so I've been thinking - is there not a way of forcing OS/2 1.0 and 1.1 and those to think that they're being installed on a 386? Replace some "CPU = getCPU" line with "CPU = I386," just like we did with WindwsNT 3.1?

I'd do the install on a real machine, but all my floppies are now dead, and I don't have a spare HDD to do it on either.

Have a day.
