Hi Guys,

I found this : http://linux.softpedia.com/get/System/O ... 2015.shtml

But when looking at suns site, it seems that they discontinued it :

http://www.sun.com/software/javadesktop ... /index.xml

Anyone know where to get it ? - i believe it should be abondanware now or something like that.

This is all I could find:
http://iso.linuxquestions.org/sun-jds/sun-jds-morphix-live-cd/

It looks to offer a download of a Live CD Version, though I haven't checked it out =\

it is not considered abandonware, but I do happen to have the 3 iso's for release 2 of that OS, it runs great on real metal and on vmware fusion. I could be persuaded to put it on the ftp if I could get access to it. I also have a bunch of precompiled software for it too.

nope not open source, linux is but not this linux, it is suns version of SLES 8.1 with star office and such. They just buried it under their solaris 10 operating system. would this ftp allow me access to the ftp on this forum?

I guess i am still waiting to see if i can get access to your ftp server to upload this distro and the associated apps. this distro requires its own pre compiled apps like firefox, SQL, mplayer etc. because it has some weird dependency issues. I have about 70 packages for this distro plus staroffice version 8+patch 13. this distro comes with staroffice 7 too. I also have a vmware image for fusion that works really well that is updated with patch 11 for SO 7.

just waiting to upload....... bump

I guess after this post I will probably get access to the ftp to give you what you want but who knows maybe not?

just so you know SJDS is just a rehashed SLES 8.1 with Staroffice 7 and a few apps Realplayer etc. and a slick theme called Blueprint. you can go here http://sun-jds.dyndns.org/ to check it out and some apps.

disclaimer---- To avoid any confusion I am not the owner of the website linked above!!!!!!

Thanks for your website and the link to it. The screenshots were informative.

I, for one, am looking forward to whatever you have to offer.
