I would love to see it when its finished, but unfortuanly i cant design (damn it).
But the big difference between standard icon and anti-aliased icon for somebody who doenst know what they mean.
In XP there these two also:

In 16-bit colour = Standard
In 32-bit colour = Anti-aliased

If you set your colour kwalitie to 16-bit (in the advanced tab of display where you select your size of the screen) then you will see the result of the standard icon, and to 32-bit to see the more smood anti-aliased icon.
