Need help Please!
My CP/M ver 2.2 system disk is missing Format.com file.
I need to backup my CP/M files to another disk.

MS-DOS 3.30a & Windows/386!
format was provided by the OEM as it's very very very specific to the machine/drive. There must be a hundred different formats, along with different media sizes.

Well, it's not that many formats and sizes no, but you need to know what machine that particular CP/M was used for. CP/M was used on several architectures and platforms.

You can use 22disk. You have specifications of a lot of systems and you can easily format floppies. You can download it from this link
http://www.gaby.de/22dsk144.zip or this version if you have problems http://www.gaby.de/cpm/download/22dsk142.zip
Is very useful. Perhaps you'll find a version of cpm suitable for your system and get the missing format.com file.
