hi all.

I decided to try out suse 10.3 on my laptop. Now when I tried the live cd I got wifi connection no problem, but stupid screen res.

Now I have installed it, i have the correct screen resolution but no wifi drivers.

i have tried the madwifi project thing, but can't get it to work.

Here's what windows has to say about my wifi card:
Atheros AR5005G Wireless network Adapter

This is the only outstanding issue with suse 10.3...would really like to sort it so i can start using it 100%

Thanks.

Tim

When I used Ubuntu on my laptop I had to use WINE and use the XP driver (yes it worked!! :S). Could you do that on SuSE?

You probably mean NDISwrapper. Yes, that should work on any distro, but I'd have thought the madwifi driver should do it...

What's your driver configuration, hougtimo? And what is the error, exactly?

No idea to be honest, I just installed the XP driver through WINE and away it went...

Yes, NDISwrapper. The only way to use Windows (W)LAN drivers on Linux.
