No, this is NOT a download request.

Actually, this is a project, that I was thinking of starting.

It would be essentially be the normal Windows 95 OSR 2 (build 1111), with the patch to allow running Windows 3.1 in 386 Enhanced mode, as well, as the Year 2000 Fix, applied, as well as fixed dual-booting, allowed upgrading, as well, as fixed versions of some video drivers (most notably the S3 trio 32/64 drivers, which are the ones, used, when running it under Virtual PC).

So, what do you guys think? Would anyone be interested in such a Windows version? And, the most important of all, what other changes would you suggest?

And one last question - would it be somehow possible, to get all the features, that are present in Nashville, but not in Windows 95 (the first release), and then subsequently import them into Windows 95 OSR 2? ;)

certainly seems like a good idea. i think another important feature is a proper setup / install system for windows 95. i didnt like the setup system from win95. certainly, new drivers are needed, and i think this is the main barrier to running it on modern systems.

Integrate the usb patch to install if it detects usb root hubs.
I can't believe that wasn't implemented on OSR2.5 when it was released
so close to 98 first edition.

talking about usb, try integrating the usb mass storage device drivers, so you can use flash drives without extra drivers
