I'd imagine any PC made up to ~1998 should be able to run it properly. I once ran Rhapsody DR2 on a Pentium 1 PC without problems, the setup even managed to detect my video and sound cards (which respectively are an S3 ViRGE-325 and a Sound Blaster Vibra16).

Do pay close attention to the text-based portion of the setup, because the ATAPI drivers for CD-ROM are in the second page of available disk drivers.

Old Thinkpads are good for installing Rhapsody DR2 x86, and they have excellent support. I haven't tried myself, but I might eventually.

http://www.rhapsodyos.org has a lot of useful information regarding Rhapsody. You might want to consult the Hardware section of the website.

Can thise builds be emulated? I got a copy of dr2 and I tried installing it in VPC, once it reaches device selection andd I select the regular IDE controller, it seems to crash.

Yes, they can. VirtualBox, VMware and 86Box are known to run them fine.

MS-DOS 3.30a & Windows/386!
I've found Qemu 0.90 works best, although the mouse is full of issues.... the IDE support in Rhapsody is... a nightmare. There is something fundamentally broken with either the driver, or the PCI driver kit.

you can find some more information here:
http://www.nextcomputers.org/forums/vie ... 2bbc148ec0

Although it's not really for beginners... expect to get your hands dirty with GCC 3 & ancient MinGW.
