The ADC Developer CD (1993-02) ("New Hack City") is currently available on eBay:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Apple-C ... 0695668146

As this CD is not yet available on the FTP, it appears there is an opportunity for someone to buy it, dump it, and upload it. I’m considering buying the CD myself, but perhaps someone else would like to step in.

Which of these disks would be considered the best for developing applications for OS 9.2.2 and OS 8.0? I would easily consider grabbing those and adding them in. I actually had plans to make a program that would run on 8.0 x68/PPC via a fat binary, and a native 9.2.2 PPC binary.

Looks like there are quarterly editions of the following:
System Software Edition
MacOS SDK Edition
Tool Chest Edition
Reference Library Edition

My assumption is that system software might be a driver development kit, the SDK is a general application platform, the tool chest is a full development set, and the reference library might be read-mes and code examples? The above list seems to have both reference libraries and the tool chests.

Would it be possible to just focus on one of these (such as the tool chests) and ignore the others if I just was after development? There is next to no documentation on what disk/year does what...

There's more Developer CDs from Apple on the Macintosh Garden....

I'd upload them if my connection wasn't so crappy.
Links:

http://macintoshgarden.org/apps/apple-d ... april-2001
http://macintoshgarden.org/apps/apple-d ... ember-2000
http://macintoshgarden.org/apps/apple-d ... ember-2000
http://macintoshgarden.org/apps/apple-d ... collection (entire 1992 year)

There's also these pearls, that I haven't seen on the FTP.

Here is what is still missing from the FTP. I hope Ghast will upload some of these, as described in another topic.

ADC Developer CD (Volume 05 - ''Night Of The Living Disc'') (1990-10), or "Dev.CD Vol. V". The copy on the FTP is badly imaged and fails to convert to DMG. marcoguy has this.

Mac OS SDK #3. This is an ADC Developer CD from 1995; most likely June, but not certainly. This seems very difficult to find.

ADC Developer CD (1999-06), or "Dev.CD Jun 99 SSW”. Ghast has this.

ADC Developer CD (1999-10), or "Dev.CD Oct 99 SSW”. Ghast has this.

ADC Developer CD (2001-11 - Volume 01), or "Dev.CD Nov 01 Mac OS X 10.1 (Tier 2)". The copy on the FTP is badly imaged and fails to convert to DMG. Ghast has this.

There’s almost nothing preserved after 2000. I encourage you to look in your attics and bug your friends.

I've recently moved / switched job, on top of that there were some issues with a bad drive... scanning and imaging from scratch, pretty much... but it's getting there and nearly ready for another batch upload, I just have other priorities at the moment.

Man, I should really get my developer CDs dumped and scanned. I have the following

- Volume 1 - Phil and Dave's Excellent CD
- Volume 3 - A Disc Called Wanda
- Volume 5 - Night of the Living Disc
- Volume 6 - Gorillas in the Disc
- Volume 8 - Desperately Seeking Seven
- Volume 10 - On a clear day, You can CD forever
- Volume 11 - The Silence of the ROMs

...all of them are from 1991 or earlier. I'll try and prioritize dumping them

Darkstar, the discs you listed are already on the BA FTP. See page 2:
https://www.betaarchive.com/database/se ... +Developer

Please check if you have any of the discs listed in my previous message.
