Okay #WindowsInsiders, I think the answer is clear: We'll start prepping 10536 to go out to Fast. Stay tuned for more info.

EDIT: see Goldfish64's post below

The only bug that Gabe mentioned relates to the XAML WebView control, which causes the Store app to crash when buying apps or IAP.
Quote:
Under memory pressure, app purchases or IAP will cause the Store to crash. It's about 28.8% of the time in our telemetry.

I hope some of the issues me and others have been having are fixed, because I've been tempted to go back to 8.1 a few times because of lock-ups and things taking a really long time to work (Start and lock screen). I'm going to go ahead and install it when it becomes available. The few Android apps that are installed persisted across the last build update, but the keyboard doesn't work in them. I'll see if they get carried over and still work in 10536.

My experience with preview builds so far has been terrible, both in terms of performance and bugs. Hopefully this one's better and they can get it polished in time for RTM.

Just got word from Gabe that 10536 isn't going to make it: https://twitter.com/GabeAul/status/642356868975828992

I have some bad news folks. We discovered an issue late last night that would have caused builds *after* 10536 to not install over it.
Quote:
It is caused by our UpdateGen process which enables the build-to-build deltas.
Quote:
The good news is we were already flighting the next build which has the Store fix, so we have that one close behind.
Quote:
But the bad news is that it will be early next week, so no build today.

Some Insiders were getting 10536, but it was a mistake and it looks like it has been fixed. If this build is installed, you may not be able to install later builds without a reset back to 8.1.

Blimey, that is quite inconvenient.

And that's why it wasn't supposed to be released. I guess Gabe decided to accept that eggnog or whatever that guy wanted to send to him back in Christmas and accidentally pressed the Insider Fast liftoff button, presuming if they have such a button for Mobile builds. ~ :? ~
