Not sure, but what I do know is generally where ever its location was when you closed it is where it will open next time you open it. I too would like to know how to do this as well however...

Ok this may or may not be what you want and may or may not work, seems to work for me though. Delete;

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes\Local Settings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell\Bags
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes\Local Settings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell\BagMRU
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell\Bags
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell\BagMRU

Then every time you open an Explorer window it will open in the center of the screen no matter its position when closed.

Dont forget to back up those keys before deleting them.
