I was more thinking the difference between the browsers & the general system appearance...the wikipedia shots don't really show that,

Yeah, but like I said, they both look ass ugly. I suppose the OS X shot is better, all that white in the Windows 7 shot is a bit of a strain to look at.

Top. Bottom the text is too small, the white is a strain, the previews are tiny, and the placement of everything is way off.

Is that thing on the top a web browser? I'm not even sure anymore.

The top is better as it is easier to read and has better colours.

The background on the top is too....weird-ish....Just my opinion.

hougtimo you should make it fair and square for both screenshot. Why does Chrome covers all screen areas while Safari didn't? Why Windows 7 have white background while Mac OSX didn't? Why does Windows 7 superbar is set to small icons, when comparing to Mac OSX, have large icons on the dock?

I thought we were just comparing those two screens. Cover-flow is just some fancy looking garbage, not so much useful. As far as the entire browser layout goes, I really like Chome better than any other browser out there but it crashes a bit much for me still. I find it hard to move away from Firefox since I use three or four add-ons that don't have anything comparable in any other browser...even though it has been crashing quite a bit lately.

Cover flow looks cool, but only in advertisements. For me, it isn't practical. Google Chrome looks a little bit, like Opera 10. BTW, is Google Chrome faster, than Opera? Anyone knows?

I've never been a huge fan of Coverflow but the "Top Sites" view in Safari 4 that is default for a newly opened tab (at least on the OS X version) is very nice.

The second looks better. Maybe, that's because I like Windows more than other OS's =)
