Personally I don't think there is anything that has to change but some people on BetaArchive do! Post it here!

I'd say the Release Candidate is pretty much perfect right now, though when I tested the 7057 build, the Media Center thing was very buggy visually. I hope they fixed that in the RC. What do you think it needs?

It doesn't matter, it's all locked down at this point. Most likely, nothing will change.

I'd like to see better ISO support though, perhaps a virtual optical drive. More options for ZIPs (extract here, extract into folder of archive name, extract to..., etc) through the context menus like WinRAR offers.

The Shift-Right Click context menu for items pinned to the taskbar changes when they are running, which is terribly obnoxious. I can't view the shortcuts properties if the application has a window open?

I want the classic search (where you can search in non-indexed locations), and active desktop back.

Neither one will happen.

LOL

I didn't even realize that Active Desktop was gone, I guess the gadgets have pretty much replaced it. I don't have any problem searching non-indexed locations in 7. Just open a window where you want to search and use the search in Explorer. I haven't even been able to find a classic-style dialog box for searching, which is annoying. Is there one? I don't like having to only use that search box in Explorer, it doesn't have enough options.

Windows Search 4.0 in XP though, I hate that software.

Wasn't Active Desktop gone in Vista too?

I want the Classic Start Menu back, I've always hated the "XP-style" "fat" Start Menu and really don't want to have to start using it, especially not with the way that an entire screen of Start > Programs shortcuts is compressed into a tiny corner of the screen from Vista onwards (what a seriously bad piece of interface design) and you have to scroll forever to reach the lower-down ones, whereas with the Classic menu on Vista and previous you just get multiple columns of Programs across the screen listing them all. I think I'll have to go with menus in the taskbar for programs instead as I couldn't use that (I'll make extra toolbars pointing to folders and then squash them right up so each one is just a small button so they open a full-length menu of programs).

I believe you can cusomize your start menu to how you like it but I'll try later and post back.

F3 opens an advanced search Window in Vista and Server 08, but in 7, it just moves the focus to the search box :/

I want more customasible hotkeys for windows management.
It would be nice if Win7 have setup wizard as in Windows 98, where i can choose what i want to install.
