I kinda get your point; Most OS's should really last a little longer than 2 and a half years... What I don't understand is why you think it's release at this point in time is a bad thing. Care to explain?

Why? If you mean OS as platform<Windows> then I would agree, but versions of the same OS should be updated as necessary. It is necessary to update Vista. Furthermore, by not changing the OS during the XP period, MS made people conditioned to invariance which is making adoption of new features difficult.

Heh,nowadays Win7 beta more stable than vista SP1 :wink: so i hope in 22 october we will see damned really cool OS and i dont think it is too early...installing vista only for DX10-it is really stupid imho,but it needs for crysis ))) so...win7 we waiting for u!)))
