i need HELP. all I wanted was to install the windows LH 5048, but it won't let me because of the HD. :cry: :cry: :cry: :cry: :cry: :cry: :cry: :cry: :cry: :cry:

You need to format it correctly with diskpart. Once booted from the DVD, start setup. Once it loads, press shift-f10 to get a command prompt and type these commands in:

Code:
DISKPART
SELECT DISK 0
CREATE PARTITION PRIMARY
SELECT PARTITION 1
FORMAT QUICK
ASSIGN
ACTIVE
EXIT


Close setup and restart the VM and it should work.

This code is needed for several builds that the formatting and partitioning the disk from the setup is broken.
Save it, this will also help even for XP and Vista if you are stuck.

Also the QUICK command is not needed for an Virtual PC, it formats fast because it's not a big file.
The QUICK command is only really needed for real installation on machines.
