All I can see from other forums is :

New wallpapers
Faster than 7057
New icons
Gadgets updated
Aero doesn't turn off Windows experience indexing
Internet Explorer jumplist list has two tasks in it - "In Private" and "New Tab"
The Windows Media Player flipped thumbnail when minimized bug is gone
IE8 now is final not RC
Improved debugging mode

Thats all I can really see from other forums. Ill install it tonight and ill see if theres any thing else I can sot different.

Also, not to hijack your thread Namronia :p , is this build also more or less stable than 7057?

New sound schemes. Also not that I've bothered to check previous builds, but I did notice DX11 this time around.

Starter has a new background (well new, it's changed)

The fish is still blue but the background is now gray.

I've just installed 7068 and windows media center has a new startup sound :P . One thing that I dont like as much now is that the preview windows, they are too rectangular when you hover over them. Not sure if this happened in 7057 but I didn't notice it :(

it was in since build 7000 (6956) Just checked. the problem with that is it crashes some DX9 games on non DX10+ hardware (EX: Geforce 4 Go 440)

There is also a bug in 7057 in which the WMP taskbar screen goes upside down when it is minimized. Does anyone know if its fixed now?

I noticed only that the performance is better then in 7057.

But there is the same problem as in 7057 > my tv-card won't work ( it's a Creatix SAA7131, Triple Capture Device, driver is installed)
Have s.o. an idea why it won't work :/ ?

Its a unreleased (officially that is) testing version of Windows and your drivers are not made for it?

As an added note, the Windows Media Player controls on the thumbnail toolbar are somewhat broken.

Attempting to click either Previous, Play/Pause & Next will repeat the action. Ending up going previous twice, next twice or playing the music when on paused will be back on paused and vice versa.

Just a heads up.

I see what you mean. Is this in the x86 version? How does Microsoft always compile the same build for both 32 bit and 64 bit? Also why does a fix from Microsoft always seem to have a side effect? they probably broke this while fixing the upside down WMP thumbnail in build 7057.

And here is a little info about some of the changes:
- Overall performance improvement with some re-work of the kernel (most likely to remove some diagnostic branches) in preparation for RC.
- Notepad.ini on startup (not really a bug)
- Fixed WEI assessment code, more accurate
- A newer build of IE8 optimized for 7068
- Memory management has been optimized a little
- Added and replaced numerous drivers (which solves a lot of issues)
- Fixed some Windows Update issues
- Fixed some network discovery and wireless issues
- Fixed some AERO issues
- Improvements to Windows Media Center and media management
- Changed the TCP half open limit from 10 to 120
- Improved support for external storage devices (ie. thumbs, NAS, etc.)
- Improved startup and shutdown times
- Added support for MP4 files and standard codecs
- Enhanced printer support
- Fixed some issues when doing an update from earlier builds and Vista
- Fixed some dual display issues

I have been in Microsoft Connect since forever. How come I never see anything about Windows 7 in there?
